Welcome to PVEI!

I am excited to welcome you to what will be an unprecedented year of change and growth at school.  We are all working to create the best possible learning and growth experiences for all students given the extraordinary set of circumstances we are facing this year.  

My position has a dual purpose at PVEI, I provide support and school counseling services to any students in need, but I also teach 4th, 5th and 6th Grade Guidance Classes.  The support services that we provide are a collaborative effort with all district student support services.

Guidance classes focus on social skills, emotional awareness and growth, and career development.

I have been fortunate to serve as a School Counselor in the Penns Valley Area School District beginning in 2002.  I have seen so many changes in such a relatively short period of time, but my favorite part of my job is getting to work with our amazing students and families.  I have constantly been amazed how Penns Valley, both through our schools and the community at large, never fails to work together to make sure that our students are cared for as well as continually learning and growing.  When I completed both my B.A. in Psychology and my M. Ed. in Counselor Education at Penn State, I could only hope for the wonderful working environment I have enjoyed at Penns Valley.
