Shelly Houser, Reading Specialist

This is my twenty-seventh year teaching in the Penns Valley Area School District. I am a graduate of Lock Haven University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I obtained my master's degree in education from Wilkes University and have secured my reading specialist certification from Penn-West University. I have four children of my own - Kyle, Megan, Alicia, and Jonathan. Kyle works at Rider University in New Jersey.  Megan is a  Physical Therapy Assistant and works as a travel PTA. Alicia is an Occupational Therapist and is also participating in the travel program. Jonathan is a senior at Penn State majoring in Parks and Recreational Management. In my free time I enjoy walking, sitting on the beach, reading, creating projects with my Cricut, and being involved with my family.
