Meet Mrs.Christensen
Dear Families,
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year and thank you for taking the time to visit my page! My name is Katelyn Christensen and I am one of the second grade teachers at Penns Valley Elementary and Intermediate School! This will be my seventh year of teaching and my fifth year teaching at PVASD. While I am not originally from the Centre County area, I have fallen in love with the area and have enjoyed being a part of the community thus far!
Furthermore, I graduated in 2016 with my B.S. degree from Bloomsburg University of PA where I received my dual Pk-4 Early Childhood and Pk-8 Special Education certification. I also received my K-12 English as a Second Language (ESL) Program Specialist certification. A couple years later, I graduated from Bloomsburg University again but this time with my M.Ed. degree in Reading. These educational experiences have provided me with numerous opportunities to work with a variety of diverse student populations across all grade levels ranging from Kindergarten to adult learners! I look forward to continue on this wonderful learning journey here at PVASD with fellow colleagues, staff, and students!
Once again, I am looking forward to this school year and please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions/concerns.
